How we can help to achieve your goal

First of all, we have to keep in mind that you are entering this market for the reason to earn a good return on your investment.

Do not make the same mistake as many and establish a bowling centre for the reason that you are passionate about the sport and a keen bowler. Put all of your enthusiasm aside and look at it totally realistically. You are there to make money, for no other reason.

The investment that you are making is considerable and most likely you will risk all of your life savings. We would like to steer you in the right direction, but after all, it is your decision and a total commitment from you is required.

Before you commit yourself, look around at other centres, ask questions and do a lot of research.

Many people have considered the change of the concept of bowling from a sport to a social activity. Some people see bowling as a recreational or social activity while others see it as a competitive opportunity. For you to be successful, you have to incorporate and capture all of those markets and clients. Bowling has been around for a long time and will continue to flourish.

However, Tenpin has encountered a number of problems over the years and is struggling to stay competitive. It is important for you to understand the recreational market and especially the bowling component to fully assess the direction that you should take.

The traditional manufacturers, like AMF and Brunswick introduced their pinsetters in the sixties and they were an instant hit. Till that time, all pins had to be reset by hand, which was expensive and time consuming. Unfortunately, very little has changed in the last 50 years and the basic design is still the same. Certainly, they have made improvements during those years, added many electronic components, such as cameras to detect the pins and software that displays the game on overhead monitors. But the pinsetters are still basically the same as all those years ago, many moving parts that can and will break down, jammed pins, slipping belts and the list goes on. Therefore, every centre all around the world has to employ a number of mechanics that are constantly on duty during play. This is expensive for the operator and one of the major costs to run the centre.

Kegel Sport has totally gone away from what we consider an outdated design. We are not the first company that have introduced string pinsetters to the market; they have been around since the seventies, but we have taken this European system and greatly improved it. We have taken this system forward with new technology, introduced a totally new games software and touch screen consoles.

You are welcome to talk to us and pick our brain. We will be pleased to show you around at our centre at Coffs Harbour and explain the many advantages that our Kegel system brings. We can also help with the design of the facility, location and other advice.
